CRS of OMK started superfine rolled sheet production

The trial rolled sheets, which are 1195 mm wide and 1 mm thin, were produced as part of the new product program. Tests showed that the rolled sheets fully comply with the requirements for geometric parameters and mechanical properties.

«We expect that the new range of rolled sheets will be in demand at Vyksa Steel Works for the production of circular and shaped sections to be used in construction, machine-building, agriculture, and for making perforated elements and other items. The Complex is planning to launch the production of 1.3 mm thin rolled sheets with a width of up to 1500 mm,» CRC Director Oleg Fedotov said.

CRC is currently making rolled sheets of 200 standard sizes from 50 grades of steel.
