Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant announces appointment of new CEO

The Board of Directors of Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant decided to appoint Rinat Shakirzyanov as General Director due to nomination of Andrey Panshin as Technical Director of
LLC “UMMC-Holding”. “For the time that Andrey Panshin was the head of CZP, the plant was significantly renewed, reconstructed and upgraded. And today we have the modern, ecologically safe and
effective production – said Rinat Shakirzyanov. – We should only adhere to this strategy of Company’s development”.

Rinat Shakirzyanov from 2002 to March 2009 occupied position of distribution manager of LLC “UMMC-Holding”. In March 2009 he was appointed as commercial and financial depute
CEO of JSC “CZP”.

Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant is the leading Russian zinc producer. In 2011 the plant produced 160,001 tonnes of salable SHG zinc. According to consolidated IFRS accounts, revenue in 2011 was RUB 12,772 mln and EBITDA was RUB 2,194 mln. Ordinary shares of CZP are traded on the MICEX-RTS exchange under ticker CHZN and Global Depository Receipts (GDR) are traded on the London Stock Exchange under ticker
CHZN.
