Izhorskiye Zavody, part OMZ Group, in presence of Russian Federal Service for Ecological, Technical and Atomic Supervision (Rostekhnadzor) successfully completed hydro-testing of second stage hydrocracking reactor for Tuapse refinery. The reactor weighs more than 600 tons. The purpose of hydro-testing is to check leakage of welded joints and mechanical parts before shipment to the customer.

The contract for the supply of large-scale equipment for Tuapse refinery was signed in 2010. As part of the contract Izhorskiye Zavody produced five more heavy vessels, including two unique reactors weighing over 1,300 tons. The equipment is designed for deep processing of oil and production of high-quality Euro-5 fuel.

Production of vessels is performed in accordance with the requirements of ASME Code and Russian regulatory documents for petrochemical production equipment.

Licensor of the project is Chevron Lummus Global (USA) - one of the world's largest energy companies. Development of working and design documentation was carried out by Izhorskiye Zavody.
