Severstal announces EGM

Severstal, one of the world’s leading vertically integrated steel and steel related mining companies, announces that the Board of Directors has called an EGM to be conducted by absentee voting on April 10, 2012.



The following agenda for the EGM was approved by the Board:



Acquisition of Company shares through a public cash tender offer



The closing date for the receipt of voting ballots is April 10, 2012. All Severstal shareholders on the register as at March 01, 2012 are eligible to participate.
