NLMK appoints new vice president for logistics

NLMK, a world’s leading steel company, announces today an appointment of Mr Alexander Sapronov to the newly created position of Vice President for Logistics. This decision will improve the efficiency and operational flexibility of the Group’s management structure.

In his new role, Mr Alexander Sapronov will be responsible for the international and domestic logistics, as well as the Group’s logistics infrastructure.

Alexander Sapronov was born in 1953. From 2009 to January 2012 he was Director General for Independent Transportation Company (NTK). Prior to that he worked as Deputy Director General for Strategy and Corporate Development at Freight One (PGK) and VicePresident at Rosneft. He graduated from All-Union Correspondence Law Institute, and the Russian Management Academy. In 2007 he received an МВА in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from the State University Higher School of Economics.
