Izhora Plants plan to manufacture steel structures for bridge over the Volga River

Izhora Plants, part of OMZ Group, signed a contract with "ArktikStroyMost", JSC for the manufacture of steel structures for construction of a second, third and fourth start-up complexes of bridge construction across the Volga River in Volgograd.

According to the contract, the company will manufacture 18 main beams, weighing 507 tones. The beams are designed for the over-water length of the bridge and for the right-bank overpass. Terms of the contract should be fulfilled in December, 2011.

Construction of the second, third and fourth start-up complexes of the bridge over the Volga River is intended to ensure the discharge of federal highways and main traffic arteries of Volgograd. The opening of the first phase of the bridge has taken place in October, 2009.
