In first half of 2011 Magnitogorsk cements workers increased revenue 1.3 times

“Magnitogorsk Cement & Refractory Plant”, JSC, part of “Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works”, JSC group increased its revenues 1.3 times to 953.3 million rubles within six months of 2011, compared to the corresponding period of 2010. Such growth was accomplished by increased production volumes.

Revenues from production of ferruginous dolomite increased 1.3 times up to 500 million rubles, cement production: 1.4 times up to 434 million rubles. Export profits increased to 10.6 million rubles.
Profitability of sales rose from minus 3.8% to plus 2%. Labor productivity per employee has increased by 28% from 1 million to 1.37 million rubles. Payroll increased by 3%, reaching 53.3 million rubles.
Products dispatch increased by 14%, reaching 485k tons, including cement 13% up to 255 k tons.
The total output in 2011 is planned to increase by 9% y-o-y (from 958 k tons to 1070 k tons) including cement production (6% up from 574 k tons to 610 k tons) and ferruginous dolomite by 12%, from 411 k tons to 460 k tons.
