Norilsk Nickel Director General meets South African President

Yesterday, Vladimir Strzhalkovsky, the General Director and Chairman of the Management Board of MMC Norilsk Nickel (the Company) met in Sochi with the President of the Republic of South Africa Jakob Zuma in RSA.

The parties discussed further development of the Company’s projects in RSA as well as the agreements reached earlier during signing of the Declaration of Strategic Partnership.

As part of the strategic partnership MMC Norilsk Nickel is engaged jointly with the South African Industrial Development Corporation in establishing the National Mining and Prospecting Fund. The Fund will form strategic resource base for main types of mineral resources in South Africa.
