Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant increased sales in Russia

In the January-March, 2011 Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant increased production of zinc and its alloys by 3% to 39,576 thousand tons. Approximately of 53.6% of metal has been sold in the Russian market (in January-March, 2011 - 44%).

Besides, the directors board made decision to increase the invesment program by 120 millions Roubles ($4,320 millions) in 2011.

"The increase in sales of Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant reflects expansion of zinc demand in Russia where galvanised steel and constructions output grow," said Leonid Khazanov, the observer of Metal Supply and Sale Magazine. "By the way, some projects of building of hot galvanised constructions plants can be released in the next years".
