Rusal and Samsung intend to set up aluminum disks production

UC Rusal plans to set up aluminum wheel disks production at the Volkhov aluminum plant facilities. This project is developed jointly with Samsung.

Rusal already carries out the project on foundry facilites modernization at the Volkhov aluminum plant which will in the future allow to produce high value added products instead of primary aluminium. Since the Volkhov aluminum plant is located in the developed automotive industry region, its production will be in demand with automobile enterprises.

«Except aluminium products for the automobile factories, in Leningrad region aluminum profiles are claimed. Therefore the project of creation of aluminum profiles production could have favorable prospects, because there is only one extrusion factory in region», Leonid Khazanov, the observer of Metal Supply and Sale Magazine, said.
