The parties stressed the importance of maintaining the bilateral commercial relations and expressed their desire to develop a program of bilateral interaction. Also, representatives of the two countries agreed to explore opportunities for investment in various industries, including in energy, bauxite mining and alumina production, taking into account the capacity of the Republic of Guinea.

The delegation was able to draw on the successful experience of RUSAL in Guinea, where the Company has been the largest representative of the Russian business in the Country since 2001. In Guinea, RUSAL operates the Alumina Company of Guinea (Friguia Refinery), the Compagnie des Bauxites de Kindia (CBK), and the Guinea Construction Company (CGG). RUSAL also has a license to mine bauxite on the Dian-Dian field and intends to actively implement the projects in this country, increasing their contribution to its socio-economic development.

“Being one of the largest foreign investors and employers in Guinea, RUSAL enjoys constant open dialogue with representatives of the government of the Republic. Russia and Guinea have a 50-year history of cooperation in the development of bauxite and we are fully aware of strategic importance of our projects for the country. . Thus, despite the difficult situation that the whole aluminum industry faced in 2009-2010 and despite the forced reduction of output by many aluminium producers all over the world, we have not cut and do not intend to reduce the bauxite mining and alumina production at our Guinean enterprises. Here in Guinea we have long-term projects that will be implemented in full. We hope that our international experience, and commitment to the implementation of social programmes, will help develop the country's economy and welfare of its citizens,” said Oleg Deripaska, CEO of UC RUSAL.
