Severstal wins award for Best Supplier to the Automobile Industry

Severstal has won the award for Best Supplier to the Automobile Industry at the Moscow Auto Forum, annual conference organized by Adam Smith Conferences held in Moscow each year that gathers leading Russian and international auto groups.

Severstal is the largest supplier of rolled metal goods to both domestic and international auto groups operating across Russia and the CIS. The company works with these auto groups on both a long-term and short-term contract basis and meets approximately 40% of their total combined demand for automobile body sheet.

Severstal provides its partners in the automobile sector with a comprehensive range of services and is constantly improving the quality of its automobile body sheet to meet its customers’ evolving demands. The company has invested approximately 400mln Euros in recent years on improving the range and quality of its products aimed at the automotive industry.

Three major business units of the Russian automobile industry, namely: GAZ, UAZ and AvtoVAZ have consignment warehouses that can store up to 70% of their monthly requirements for automobile body sheet, thus making it possible to ensure timely deliveries Cooperation with international auto makers is done through independent service centers.
