TMK ships large diameter longitudinal welded pipes for Lukoil

TMK, one of the world’s leading oil and gas steel pipe producers, ships large diameter longitudinal welded pipes to LUKOIL to build a pipeline system for transporting hydrocarbons produced at the Pyakyakhinskoye gas condensate field.

Since the beginning of the project in the fall of 2010, TMK has shipped more than 15,000 tonnes of large diameter longitudinal welded pipes (diameter of 1,020mm and 1,220mm) with trilaminar high-polymeric and external anticorrosion polyethylene coatings.

A total of approximately 87,000 tonnes of large diameter longitudinal welded pipe will be delivered to LUKOIL’s Pyakyakhinskoye project. The project will extend until October 2011. Of this volume, TMK is planning to ship more than 25,000 tonnes.

LUKOIL plans to commission the Pyakyakhinskoye field during the fourth quarter of 2011.
