En+ Downstream gets control over Mosmek alluminum facility

En+ Downstream gets control over Mosmek alluminum facility
En+ Group announces the transfer of the building systems manufacturer Mosmek (located in Vidnoe, Moscow region), formerly held by the construction holding Glavstroy, to En+ Downstream within a business restructuring project.

Mosmek is one of the Russia's largest aluminium building systems manufacturer, whose capacity totals 13.5 thousand tons of pressed profiles per year.

Mosmek has become the third asset of En+ Downstream, which held Krasnoyarsk Metallurgical Plant (KraMZ) and Dmitrov Aluminium Can Tape Test Plant (Dozakl).

En+ Downstream Head Natalia Vasilenko commented: "We expect a strong synergy from the Mosmek's inclusion into En+ Downstream. This is a logical next step within the strategy to build an entire aluminium processing chain in En+ Downstream. A direct supply of aluminium ingots to Mosmek from KraMZ and optimized logistics will provide substantial cost-cutting, output growth, product range widening potential and, ultimately, will grow the plant's share of the fast-growing aluminium building systems market of the Central Russia".

Mosmek will partner with the state-owned Deposit Insurance Agency of Russia in the plant's development. The agency is the owner of the land plot and several buildings that host the plant's facilities.
