SIJ – Slovenska industrija jekla has bought two more steel centres in Italy: Sidertoce and Griffon & Romano. In line with its strategy, the SIJ is stepping up the pace of its investment effort in order to develop the EU and global markets, mainly by acquiring steel centres and processing-machining centres. The company has thus acquired two Italian steel centres in the summer: Sidertoce and Griffon & Romano, which employ over 50 people and together comprise as much as 20,000m2 of processing-machining and sales areas. The investment is a significant milestone for Metal Ravne (synergy with Sidertoce) as well as for Acroni (synergy with Griffon & Romano), both subsidiary companies of the SIJ, which expects to see a rise in its revenues on the Italian and neighbouring markets of approximately €40m per year as a result of the acquisition.
