Reportedly, 5 041k tons were of steel tubes were produced in Russia over the first seven months of 2010 which is 138.5% more compared to the corresponding period of 2009. Output by tube mills in January – July 2010 as compared to the corresponding period raised: Volzhsky Pipe Plant: 2.1 times, Pervouralsky Novotrubny Works: by 133.2%, Chelyabinsk Tube-Rolling Mill: by 132.7%, Vyksa Steel Works: by 131.5%, Taganrog Metallurgical Works: by 125.2%, Seversky Tube Works: by 113.9%, and Sinarsky Pipe Plant: by 103.2%. Output by types of products in January – July 2010 as compared to the corresponding period of 2009 reached: seamless pipes: 130.9% up, welded pipes (electric-welded exclusive): 112.3% up, electric-welded big diameter pipes: 176.2% up, electric-welded pipes (big diameter steel pipes exclusive): 126.6% up, casing tubes: 132.6% up, pump and compressor tubes:113% up, drill pipes: 169.3% up, oil and gas seamless pipes:152.5% up, oil and gas electric-welded pipes: 124.2% up, general purpose rolled tubes: 124.9% up, drawn tubes: 148.7% up, thin wall electric-welded tubes: 115.2% up, and water supply and gas pipes:113% up.
