Kirov Non-Ferrous Metals Processing Plant to do test runs of continuous annealing line by Otto Junker

Kirov Non-Ferrous Metals Processing Plant, part of UMMC has entered the stage of the initial run of super thin bands continuous annealing line by Otto Junker. The cost of the line reaches about EUR 6M. Reportedly, all the works are performed according to the schedule. The line is planned to enter into the full operation mode in Q4 2010. Now the technicians of the Works together with their German colleagues do test runs of the equipment including engines, hydro cylinders etc. The Otto Junker line will allow the Works to perform the final finishing of copper, brass, and bronze bands of up to 700mm wide and 0.8 to 0.05mm thick; maximal weight of the coils reaches 5 tons.
