Domestic sales of aluminium profiles raised in Q1 2010

O. Dolgopolov, Deputy Director General for Commerce, Agrisovgaz stated at an open session of the Russian Union of Metal and Steel Suppliers in Moscow that domestic sales of aluminium profiles had raised 30 to 50% in Q1 2010 as compared to a corresponding period of 2009. However, O. Dolgopolov noticed a trend in decreasing of orders for system profiles for the construction sector. Drafting profiles on the contrary, are in high demand today. Before the financial crisis balance of sales between architectural and drafting profiles was 50% - 50%, while now it is 25-30% by 70-75% in favor of drafting profiles.
