Volga-FEST increased output by 1/3 in Q1

Volga-FEST, Frolovo Electric Steel-Making Plant, part of Estar Group in January-March 2010 produced nearly 63kt of square billets which is 34% more compared to a corresponding period in 2009 (47kt). In Q1 the company sold nearly 66kt of products. The plant being sufficiently supplied with raw materials plans to produce around 285kt of billets in 2010 (in 2009 the plant produced 220kt of billets).
The main type of activity of the plant includes production and sales of continuous steel billets of carbon steel grades for further re-rolling.
