The Russian Government supports the introduction of duties for import of bearing pipes from China

First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Government Viktor Zubkov chaired a meeting of the Subcommission of the Government of Russia on customs tariff and nontariff regulation, protective measures in foreign trade. Reportedly the press-service of the Government the members of the meeting supported the proposal to introduce duty rate of 19,4% for import bearing pipes from China to Russia for a period of 3 years as an anti-dumping measure.

In addition, after the discussion of analysis effectiveness of the decisions undertaken by the Government in 2009 to increase or maintain the previously increased rates of import customs duties and their impact on the state of commodities markets Subcommission found it appropriate to preserve the existing rates of import customs duties on trucks and buses - as new and used ones. Also Zubkov instructed to elaborate question about the rates of duties on grain and forage harvesters.

Ministry of Industry and Trade has reported today that extends until June 23, 2010 anti-dumping investigation against import of Chinese bearing pipes (including Taiwan and the special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macau). This investigation was initiated on Dec. 23, 2008

In October 2009 the Ministry of Industry and Trade previously proposed to introduce anti-dumping duty of 29,4% of customs value for import of bearing pipes for all Chinese producers and exporters for a period of 5 years.
