Norilsk Nickel plans to increase manufacture and to reduce emissions

The next two years it is planned to increase extraction of ore and thus considerably to reduce emissions, the general director of "Norilsk nickel" Vladimir Strzhalkovsky during visit to Polar which is on border with Norway and where there are company enterprises has declared.
Being last week on Kola peninsula, Strzhalkovsky has told, that investments which now go on mine "Northern-deep", will allow to increase release of ore from today's 4,7 million tons to 6,9 million tons by the end of 2011. "Northern-deep" for today - a basis of resource base of the company in region.

On investment projects on Kola peninsula in "by Norilsk nickel" in 2010 it is planned hardly more 3 billion roubles, has informed Strzhalkovsky, informs MBnews.ru.

After input in a system (in 2011) a site of briquetting emissions in Polar will decrease for 95 %, has underlined Strzhalkovsky (BarentsObserver).

At the same time nothing Nickel, on level of emissions twice surpassing the manufacture which is available in Polar is informed on destiny of melting shop in the item.

"Norilsk nickel", the world's largest manufacturer of Nickel and one of the largest - copper and of some other metals, in Russia is one of the largest originators of environmental contamination. As informed yesterday BarentsObserver, the neglect ecological norms became the main reason of an exception of this company from an investment portfolio of the State pension fund of Norway.

During two-day visit to V.Strzhalkovsky's Murmansk area has visited also in Monchegorsk, one more of promploshchadok "Norilsk nickel" on Kola peninsula
