Evraz announces major keystone XL pipe order

Evraz Group announces that its subsidiary in North America, Evraz Inc. NA, has received a significant Large Diameter Pipe order from TransCanada Corporation for a portion of the Keystone Gulf Coast Expansion Project (Keystone XL).

Keystone XL’s 1,980 mile (3,200 kilometers) 36” crude pipeline, carrying Canadian crude oil, would originate at Hardisty, Alberta and terminate at a delivery point near Nederland, Texas to serve existing refineries and other markets on the U.S. Gulf Coast.

Evraz anticipates steel and pipe production on this new business to commence in 2010.
