TMK GF premium connection successfully tested at VNIIGaz

TMK, a global leader in the manufacturing of tubular products for the oil and gas industry, announced today that its TMK GF premium connection was successfully tested at VNIIGaz.

Gazprom’s Scientific-Research Institute of Natural Gases and Gas Technologies (VNIIGAZ) carried out a series of tests replicating the complex geological structure found in the Astrakhan gas condensate field in the Precaspian Basin.

The testing, which included tension and compression tests, was performed on 168 mm OD TMK GF premium casing with wall thickness of 10.6mm and T95SS steel grade. The TMK GF connections are designed and produced by TMK-Premium Service for use in sour operating environments.

The sour service premium connections will now undergo field testing in the Astrakhan gas condensate field, known for its demanding operating environment and dependency on imported premium pipes.
