ZMZ develops new technologies

A new rolling technology was developed in rolling shop №1 at Zlatoust Metallurgical Works.  

They rolled rounds in dia. 230 and 240 mm and length up to 6m on mill 1150. ZMZ used to produce rounds of 210mm diameter in length up to 3m. At present a new roll pass design is being worked on, which will allow to roll diameter 260 mm.  

The technology will allow to reduce conversion costs 10 times down to 1.5 thousand Rubles per tn. The Works is capable to produce up to 5 Kilo tn per month of round bars over 200mm and in length up to 6 m.
