TMK to Ship Premium Connections to Rosneft

TMK announced that it signed a supply contract for TMK FMC Premium threaded casing with Rosneft. The premium grade tubulars will be used in the development of the Vankor oil and gas field located in eastern Siberia.

The agreement was signed between TMK Premium Service and Rosneft following the successful testing of TMK FMC premium connections at Vankor in September 2008.

TMK will ship 1 thousand tn of 177.8mm OD TMK FMC premium threaded casing of N80 and R110 grades and 9.2mm wall thickness before year-end. TMK FMC premium threaded casing is produced at TMK’s Tagmet plant in south-western Russia. The agreement also covers the delivery of drill string pup joints and crossovers.

The Vankor oil and gas field is expected to be one of the key fields supplying the Eastern Siberia – Pacific Ocean Pipeline.
