Reinhold Steiner Is Heading ChTPZ-Group As The New CEO

In accordance with  the Company's  resolution, Mr. Reinhold Steiner was appointed CEO of ChTPZ-Group, Chelyabinsk Pipe-Rolling Plant and Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant  effective November 17, 2008. He succeeded Pavel Pelugin who will handle Group-wide projects.
Mr. Steiner joined the Company after 14 years at Voestalpine Group, the top European steelmaking and processing group, where during the last seven years he was in charge of Voestalpine’s welded pipe-making facilities in Austria. 
Alexander Fyodorov, chairman of the Board of Directors of Chelyabinsk Pipe-Rolling Plant, said in his comment that “we are happy to welcome this top-level manager to our company. Mr. Steiner joins ChTPZ-Group at a crucial time when our business needs strong management team to counter the effects of the global financial crisis. Mr. Steiner has developed formidable credentials in the world steel-making community both as a successful manager and as an expert in pipe-making for the fuel and energy industry who has extensive knowledge of the oil and gas industry. I am convinced that Mr. Steiner’s experience will help ChTPZ Group carry out its strategy aimed at meeting short-term and long-term needs of the domestic fuel and energy industry for high-quality pipes. Mr. Steiner’s competence in the management and organization of advanced pipe-making facilities is much needed now that new state-of-the art facilities are being commissioned at the Company's  enterprises”.

Mr. Reinhold Steiner, 44
During the last 14 years Mr. Steiner worked at Voestalpine Group, the top
European steel manufacturing and processing group, at which he started in the position of assistant to the CEO in its railway division and then served as area sales manager responsible for Middle East  at Voestalpine Tubulars, Austria, seamless pipe producer for oil and gas industry. In 1998  Mr. Steiner accepted the position of Managing Director of Voestalpine Steel Middle East FZE, Dubai/United Arab Emirates, and managed this entity for the following four years. In 2002 he accepted an offer within the group as Managing Director of Voestalpine Krems GmbH, Austria, welded tubes and pipes manufacturer.
Mr. Steiner is a former President of the European Steel Tube Association.
Prior to joining Voestalpine Group Mr. Steiner worked in the German automotive industry for a supplier of engineered parts. During his studies he has been working for Mobil Oil (part of ExxonMobil), M-I SWACO (former M-I Drilling Fluids) and for the Austrian oil and gas company OMV.
Mr. Steiner graduated from the University of Leoben, Austria, with a degree in petroleum sciences with specialization in business administration. He also possesses a degree in mechanical engineering.
