Prices for Copper Rolled Products have Stabilized

Prices for Copper Rolled Products have Stabilized
Analysis of prices for copper rolled products shows their stabilization. E.g. in the beginning of December in the Moscow region market M1 sheets were sold for 255–267 thou rubles per 1 ton (depending on dispatch volume), whereas last week – 253–267 thou rubles. A similar situation is observed in the brass and bronze rolled products market. Prices for Л63 sheets did not change being 221–232 thou rubles, Л59 sheets –1 – 226–236 thou rubles, БрОЦ bands– 266 -- 276 thou rubles. Stabilization of prices for copper and its alloys rolled products is largely due to dynamics of prices for copper at LME. In the beginning of December price for copper reached $6.800 thou per 1 whereas in the middle of December it fell to about $6.300 thou. Then it grew slightly almost to $6.900 thou and fell right after the beginning of the new year to about $6.700 thou. After that the price for copper grew slightly again reaching $7.200 thou. Besides, due to a low demand for copper rolled products in winter suppliers did not raise the market. However, if prices for copper at LME continue growing, it may cause producers and then traders to raise prices for copper rolled products as well.
