The first meeting of quality control services of Severstal companies CherMK, Severstal NA, as well as Ascometal and Piombino (Lucchini sister companies) has been held at CREAS Ascometal research center (France). CherMK Severstal has been represented by a group of specialists of technical management of Center for Technical Development and Quality headed up by Mr. Igor Sharuda, Senior Manager for Quality Management System. The project on working out of the corporate quality management system has been initiated with an aim to adopt corporate philosophy, principles of management and accounting as regards to quality at the Severstal companies, establishing of information exchange system among the Sevestal companies, improving work with customers to promote the corporate philosophy of quality management system. Fulfillment of the program will eventually strengthen positions and the image of Severstal as a global supplier with one philosophy and quality management system applied at all the companies of the holding.
CherMK, SNA, Ascometal and Piombino have presented their quality management systems, discussed the main problems related to the existing quality management systems and worked out possible solutions. As a result of the meeting, the main trends of the coordination among the companies as well as plans on development of the Severstal corporate management system future have been worked out.
