IMEAS supplied manual sheet-to-sheet line Globus Stal

According to Enzo Minacapilli, representative of IMEAS the Russian steel service centers will follow the global trend among the Evolution of Surface Finishes.
GLOBAL EVOLUTION OF SURFACE FINISHES
-Before 1970: the WET GRINDING was leading the market (75% of market), followed by the WET POLISHING (25%). The productivity of the production line was average 10 meters/minute.
- Today the market is lead by the DRY POLISHING (58%) and followed by the DRY BRUSHING (22%). A decrease happened in the last decades for the WET POLISHING (from 75% in 1970, to today's 9% of the market). A niche market relies on BUFFING/MIRRORING (3%), HAIR LINE (3%) and WET GRINDING (2%) and others. The productivity of the production line increased to 30 meters/minute.

Today IMEAS can offer the following solutions:

DRY PROCESS:
- Polishing (#3 and #4 surfaces)
- Brushing
- Hair Line
- Buffing

WET PROCESS:
- Grinding and polishing for stainless steel, Titanium, Aluminum flat products (sheets, plates and coils)
- Mirror finishing (#8 surfaces) lines for stainless steel flat products.

As well as the alternative configurations of the following lines:
- MANUAL sheet-to-sheet line
- AUTOMATIC sheet-to-sheet line
- coil-to-coil lines ( up to coil weight 36 ton )

These lines include also Film Laminating machines, filters and exhaust system, loading and unloading systems.

The first manual sheet-to-sheet line was supplied this year to the company Globus Stal ( www.globus-stal.ru ).
