Vyksa Steel Works Sums Up Production Results of April and 4 Months 2007

In April 2007, Vyksa Steel Works produced 158,924 tonnes of pipes – a 33.3% increase as compared with April 2006 (119,162 tonnes).

Since early 2007, VSW has manufactured 634,529 tonnes of pipes of various sizes – a 42.2% increase YOY (446,174 tonnes). In April 2007, VSW manufactured 88,002 tonnes of large-diameter pipes (LDP) – a 39% as compared with April 2006 (63,388 tonnes). In January-April, the LDP production reached 362,108 tonnes – a 59.4% increase as compared with the similar period in 2006 (227,082 tonnes).

In April 2007, the VSW Wheel-Rolling Division produced 57,413 railroad wheels – a 37.2% increase YOY (41,858 wheels). In the 4 months of 2007, VSW manufactured a total of 230,043 wheels.
