EVRAZ received new TSI certificate for its rails

EVRAZ ZSMK has obtained a TSI certificate on its 49 E1 rail produced to the European standard. The mill offers these rails both non-treated and head-hardened in lengths up to 100 meters. The certificate issued by the German TUV Rheinland InterTraffic allows to supply the 49 E1 rail to Europe.

«Rails are EVRAZ's premium product. Therefore extending the range and sales markets is our priority, said Ilya Shirokobrod, EVRAZ's Vice President, Sales and Logistics. –Our engineers continue the effort to extend the product range with new sections, including rails for speeds up to 400 km/h.»

49 Е1 rails are intended for jointed and continuous welded tracks as well as for the production of rail switches. It is a light section applied for urban transport, underground and access ways.

EVRAZ 49 E1 rails are already supplied to Turkey. The company plans to enter the market of the Eastern Europe.

EVRAZ ZSMK obtained the certificate following a complex audit. The representatives of TUV Rheinland InterTraffic visited the Rail and the Electric Furnace shops, inspected the process and the quality management system.

EVRAZ ZSMK now holds TSI certificates for several rail sections while it is capable of producing a large variety of sections to foreign standards.
