Severstal announces Q1 scrap procuring operational results

Over the first 3 months 2010 the total volume of ferrous raw materials supplied by Severstal-Vtormet (scrap procuring division) increased by 40% reaching 152kt as compared to a corresponding period of 2009. The share of Cherepovets Steel Mill in the dispatch structure has increased by 65% exceeding 100kt compared to a corresponding period of 2009. Thus, today the share of scrap supplied by Severstal own divisions exceeds 30% of the total scrap supplies.
